A day can't remove

Between amazing and calm down , Calm down is the birthday cake . Walk under pretty fresh air , let clean the brain empty the soul, fully lost mind. Feel it without words. Going back to a sunraise canvas.

Don't know when will it be again , don't know when will got it again . Don't know when can show up again. Raise up colour swave.

Day will carry on . A DAY can't remove.

幻得幻失 Magic was lost Magic

慾離又止，幻得幻失。每當想起畫思緒，身邊總有別的事情打斷。活在這環境上，自己最簡單的要求，也困難重重。

To leave another stop, the magic was lost magic. Whenever I got painting mood, always around something else interrupted. Living in this environment, their most simple requirements, but also difficult.

自問自答

   這一兩個月，一如以往瑣碎工作佔盡百分之150的時間，不要說累死，但是很想放一個沒有人和事需要煩繞我心的假期，任性地睡個夠，再起來隨心感受太陽與星光月亮，靜下來提筆畫畫。身邊沒有一絲雜音，只有靜止的風聲。2015年第一天己病了十數天，現在仍留下感冒餘黨。前提仍舊是沒有停下來； 瑣碎而且不關己事的工作仍是不斷。為了生活？為著每天醒來，以工作帶給自己一點能幹，有用武之地的認証。
  不同往年的分別是，這個年尾，這個年頭，在地域上，在眼光上，在理解上，在思考上，在行動上，在距離上，在觀念上，在體會上，在給自己明白事情上，在給自己回憶上，在給自己鋪排上，多了一個段落； 多了一個重新看到自己的方式，角度。與其生日快樂才算是成長了，不如，看開一切，堅決找回真我，可惜的是8月生日的我，在2015 年一月己急於為自己加上一歲為自己慶祝生日了。
   沒有放棄畫畫，就是找回自己回家的方向。冷風靜夜之下，聽著海浪聲，聞著遠處燒烤雞冀，豬扒的韻味，慢步回家的同時，心中想起了，這一句話，"心中畫像，便是藝術 "！

拒絕傳統審美，關註心靈拷問

        袁偉業長期專註於繪畫媒體。其作品風格大膽細膩，用色強烈，空間感十足。他拒絕傳統視覺美感，註重心靈拷問，引發人們對社會問題的思考，所以他的大部分作品，很少出現美女或者美景，人物經常被線條化或者抽象化，只有部分肢體動作或面部神情被突出。至今為止，袁偉業的［自作業］系列作品，曾分別展示在四次開辦的個人畫展上。

敘事意義

        敘事手法經常出現在袁偉業的作品中。他通過一些具體場景的展示，把觀賞者帶入其中，讓其自發想象或者回憶，從而進入自我思考狀態。在這些敘事的事物中，舞會、商務場合、酒杯、高跟鞋、床等經常出現，這些物象通過其特定的文化特征，細膩地展現人物內心。當然，除了一系列的動態情景，袁偉業也有部分安靜的敘事作品。他們或安然地祈禱，或靜思，或獨自躺床上冥想。這些作品無一不關註人物內心，通過特定姿態，表達藝術家對人和生活的思考。

 本土心聲與普世價值

       袁偉業的畫作著力刻畫澳門本土人的心象，並從中挖掘普世意義。本次展出的系列作品［open 結 enclose 完2］，多運用隱喻手法，展現澳門時代發展的變化。他慣用小鳥、裸女及抽象的澳門賭場等背景題材，表達澳門本土人對賭場、外來者、殖民主義的態度和心聲。同時，以國際視野來看待那些虛化了澳門背景的作品， 也能引起大眾共鳴，顯示出其普世價值。 這些作品或表達個人對僵硬社會體系的疏離，或展現城市繁忙對個人的壓力，或者表達復雜人際關系中的勾心鬥角，或者描繪熱鬧繁華中的孤單， 還有，夜深人靜時的內心祈禱。這些人性的基本情感和生活狀態，融匯在作品的點點滴滴中，用以觸發大眾的情緒體驗和對生活的思考。

         

自我表達和思考

       藝術作品之所以成為藝術，在於其能引發大眾形成自我獨特的情感體驗和思考。袁偉業的作品非常註重這一點 。他善於挖掘事物背後的意義，展現其思想性和空間性， 引發個體的情緒共鳴。如今，繪畫語言已成為他表達自己的主要方式。他的每一幅作品，都是一段人生歷程的縮寫，內涵了自己深鎖心間的情感和思考。繪畫於他而言，已是生命支柱。

“Recently, Macau has undergone tremendous changes, from a tiny village, unknown, to a metropolitan city. Being a local, I can feel every trace of the surrealistic atmosphere…”

Leo Yuen Wai Ip transfers his deepest affection and sentiments towards his home city on the canvas.  Through the use of bold colours, exaggerated expressions, absurd sense of composition and abstract figures, Leo lets the heart guides the brush and his works are full of personality giving a sense of “Don Quixote” style black humour.  Leo refuses the traditional visual aesthetic appeal but focuses on the experience of inner emotions and reflections on humanity and living realities.  There are no beauties or scenery but narratives of dynamic or quiet scenarios – a party, a living character, a business occasion, wine glasses, bed…Leo uses metaphors to depict the changes in the times of Macau.  His usual birds, nudes and abstract background of casinos express one’s perspectives towards the gaming industry, outsiders, colonialism and the type of society we are living in.  These works express personal alienation from a rigid social system, show the pressure of a bustling city on an individual, and tell a complex human relationship of intrigue.  All these basic human emotions are integrated into every bit of Leo's works triggering reflections.

Leo was born in Macao in 1974.  He is an artist, a designer, person-in-charge of August 13 design company,  Rarely active in the local painting and artistic circles, humble and very low-key; nevertheless, for Leo, each piece of his works is an abbreviation of a real life journey unlocking onto his inner-self.

Painting has already been the pillar of his life.

入世

怎樣看是好的作品

現在好像很多很多關於創作，作品的人和事，現象多得街上灰塵被風吹起都認定是自己經過所創作出來的藝術氛圍。高高低低，你說你好，我說Say Hello!
我亦閱讀，觀看，搜尋，交流，思考很多片。什麼是好的作品？
答案我不知道。我只知道好的作品是入世，然後出世，這樣的作品就自然吸引到懂欣賞的人的眼睛。作品自然會跟你對話。不到位的便只能靠什麼造型，技法，效果，尺寸，年代，稱號，學院，公司，機構，團體，家底，國籍，言語，宇宙，比較，實驗，測試，指導，理論，報道，面試，評審，筆試，測驗，考試，太陽，星晨，天馬行空，一大堆。卻沒有簡單直接的走到作品面前感受（他／她）看看他與她有沒有成功順產及長大成人與你對話。有的話，各位觀眾，你便要好好的把握機會把這件作品帶回家。當然帶走之前，觀眾門記得入場睇戲都需要買票，爆穀汽水想食要付錢的。
英雄莫問出處，沒有家財萬貫的背景，卻可以生出社會棟樑，造化卻不只家庭。出世經過長時期陪養磨練的。簡單一個例子： 只跟著唱Karaoke的，是你的作品嗎？而你又算不算是歌星嗎？ 起碼我認為不是。
入世的作品題材不一定造作誇耀，能否從中出世，便是真正好看的作品哦！

只有忙！ 不停的忙，不算有太多的準備，但總找到一個從另一角度看自己的畫的角度地方，不用再在自己的工作間自我度步。

日復日，畫每日就在我身邊，每日都期待著，期待一天可以開開心心的從另個地方看自己的畫。可能就是這個原因， 每隔一段時間，我便把我的畫在我的畫室內左搬右移。事實上，不得不將畫到處搬動，因為畫室同時間亦是我工作的辦公室，地方總是雜亂無章。搬動只是給自己一點安慰.........

每天都在原地打轉

事實上，能擁有這麼一個可算是大的畫室（辦公室）不容易。除了擺放我的作品外， 到底它根本是給我產生作品的地方。所以我不自覺每天都在這個小小的空間內納悶地走動。就是每天假裝為自己達成了這個心願， 跟隨腳步從另一地看自己的畫。

每天都沒有忘記

表面上，畫只是我個人沒趣，用以殺掉時間的出口。但當時間真正來臨時....它已隨風起動了。

Day after day, Painting daily on my side, every day looking forward, looking forward to one day be a happy heart from another place to see my paintings. Probably for this reason, every once in a while, I put my paintings move here and there in my painting room. In fact, the painting had to be moving around, because the studio is also my working place --- office, where always disorganized. Move just give myself a little comfort .........

Every day, walking around in circles

In fact, can be considered to have such a large studio (office) is not easy. In addition to my art work storage, but at the end it is simply to produce my artwork here. So I do not consciously every day wonder in this tiny space to move around. Is a day pretending to reach this wish for myself, follow my footsteps of another angle look at  my paintings.

Every day, not forgotten

Apparently, painting is just my personal interest to kill time. But when the time comes .... it has the wind started.

日夜苦練( 引述自網絡文章 ）

有一位年輕畫家，在還沒成名前，住在一間狹隘的小房子裡，靠畫人像維生。

一天，一個富人經過，看他的畫工細緻，很喜歡，便請他幫忙畫一幅人像。雙方約好酬勞是一萬元。

一個星期後，人像完成了，富人依約前來拿畫。⋯⋯

這時富人心裡起了歹念，欺侮他年輕又未成名，不肯按照原先的約定付給酬金。

富人心中想著：「畫中的人像是我，這幅畫如果我不買，那麼，絕沒有人會買。

我又何必花那麼多錢來買呢？」於是富人賴賬，他說只願花三千元買這幅畫。

青年畫家傻住了，他從來沒碰過這種事，心裡有點慌，花了許多唇舌，向富人據理力爭，希望富人能遵守約定，做個有信用的人。

「我只能花三千元買這幅畫，你別再囉唆了。」

富人如此說，因為他居上風，「最後，我問你一句，三千元，賣不賣？」

青年畫家知道富人故意賴賬，心中憤憤不平，他以堅定的語氣說：「不賣。我寧可不賣這幅畫，也不願受你的屈辱。今天你失信毀約，將來一定要你付出二十倍的代價。」

「笑話，二十倍，是二十萬耶！我才不會笨得花二十萬買這幅畫。」

「那麼，我們等著瞧好了。」青年畫家對悻悻然離去的富人說。

經過這一個事件的刺激後，畫家搬離了這個傷心地，重新拜師學藝，日夜苦練。皇天不負苦心人，十幾年後，他終於闖出了一片天地，
在藝術界上，成為一位知名的人物。

至於那個富人，自從離開畫室後，第二天就把畫家的畫和話淡忘了。

直到有一天，富人的好幾位朋友不約而同的來告訴他：「好友！有一件事好奇怪喔！這些天我們去參觀一位成名藝術家的畫展，
其中有一幅畫中的人物跟你長得一模一樣，標示價格二十萬，不二價。有趣的是，這幅畫的標題竟然是《賊》。」

富人好像被人當頭打了一棍，他想起了十多年前畫家的事。

眼看這件事對自己的名譽傷害太大了，他立刻連夜趕去找那位畫家，向他道歉，並且花了二十萬買回那幅人像畫。這個年輕畫家憑著一股不服輸的志氣，讓富人低了頭。

這個年輕人名叫「畢卡索」。
